The journey begins

Welcome to a space of exploration, a journey of finding balance within, with the hope that this walk creates an opportunity for balance outside of ourselves. Mother Earth is hurting. Conversations of human centrism and the impact of our breath and being on our Mother are important considerations when seeking mino-pimatisiwin – the good life. Can we be in better relations with the land we come from? Instead of viewing the land as a prepositional object of human convenience – inanimate, created to walk upon and take from – can we view it as inseparable from ourselves -our literal mother? What would change if we viewed our Mother as an alive relation that feels, speaks, and teaches?

Part of my journey is to de-colonize my tongue. You will see me trying to learn our languages as one way to bring balance to my Spirit. Teasing is welcome! In an attempt to embrace our Seven Grandfather Teachings it is good for me to stay humble. Please provide feedback and comments. Your words are welcome in this space.

If we strive to lead a life of truth, love, and respect then perhaps awareness and contemplation of our power are helpful on this journey. With curiosity, in this space, I will explore the ethics and implementation of helping systems that profess to help marginalized communities heal, but in actuality may further entrench pain and suffering, and only serve monetary gain for the helper. These conversations are not for the light of heart.

Find hereafter posts that include favorite things that are helping me on my wellness journey with the humble hope that they might help y’all too.

Full warning! I love embracing the shadow, inclusive of dark things like dark chocolate, dystopic photography, and intense music, as well as, digging deep into the human psyche to understand why we do what we do.

Hiy, hiy,

Seeking grounding, upside-down. Thinking of the endless, summer skies and inspirations of possibilities of finding balance within our bodies – Creator’s gift to experience all of life through our senses.
